Bridging principles

InnovaDocs SDS teamUpdated: 6 November 2026

Definition: Bridging principles in CLP Annex I section 1.1.3 let you classify an untested mixture from test data of a similar, already classified mixture.

The principles cover dilution, batching, concentration of highly hazardous mixtures, interpolation within one category, substantially similar mixtures and aerosols.

They sit between real mixture test data and calculation, and are useful for product families with small formula changes.
